"Not the best of times to be a man, I guess?" Elisa chuckled. He said not to ask, so she didn't. Though, curiosity not satisfied was a heavy burden. It could be a question for another time.
The blonde looked at Victor in curiosity when his eyes seemed to register the ground carefully. What is he doing? She thought to herself, but saw him so concentrated that she didn't dare say out loud. When they came to a stop, a very strange feeling of paranoia crept up her spine. Was there something wrong? She was about to ask when his gaze met hers, and the question and worry just vanished.
Still not very sure of what they were talking about, she meant to ask what he meant "Of course" But that left her mouth instead.
"Don't, it can happen. It's just a matter of practice and patience" Adam reassured her. It really was completely understandable to freak out, those kind of things tended to happen if you realised you didn't have control over something you barely understood and that at the same time was part of your own self.
Right ahead, he noticed his friend's horse stopping, and looked up just in time to catch his gesture that motioned for him to stop as well. His brow raised a bit, and, as Elisa, he wondered if he had caught the presence of someone, or something else nearby. However, he dismissed it almost immediately as he didn't feel it. Most of the times, when you were a warrior, someone who had been trained to know these things, you could tell if you were being followed or if there was an unwanted presence near. There was none. He stopped after his friend.
