Elisa's brow shot up in curiosity, and she eyed him curiously and carefully. 'Didn't want anyone to' what? The question, though not said out loud, was evident in her stare. Suddenly, though, it made sense. The blonde blinked before a silent 'oh' escaped her lips.
"Were you guarding the door?" She asked. However, she didn't wait for his answer, because judging by the situation she somehow knew she was right about it "Thank you, Victor" Though she didn't know it while she was taking the bath, she was seriously grateful for that.
When he spoke about the waitress, Elisa automatically looked aside to look for her. The woman had been looking at her as well, but as soon as their eyes met, the redhead pursed her lips together and diverted her gaze. Could it really be ... ?
"Did she now?" Elisa asked, genuinely surprised "Maybe she forgave us over the night?" She suggested, though an amused smile had spread across her face, making it a bit obvious there was something she wasn't telling the knight. Poor girl, Elisa didn't really mean to snap at her like that, but if it served to save them from their resented glares, she wasn't all that guilty for having done so "Is Rebecca with Adam?" She asked when she didn't find either of them there. It made her wonder what had Rebecca decided to do about that.
Adam knew something was off, and not only with her but with the whole situation. Last night they had shared an amazing moment, one which had, to be honest, gave him a bit of hope. He was sure she had felt it too ... Or had been up until now. He shifted a bit and he couldn't stop the scowl.
"Did I ... " He paused. His stare had been fixed on the horse, but he pulled it away to look at her "Did I do something wrong?" His voice was flat, almost distant. He had imagined it would come out as he had expected it to do, tentative, even pleading, but there was something painfully tugging at his heart.
Adam shook his head. No ... He didn't like to feel like that. He hated it. He was a laid-back guy, and though he could suffer of love - as he had done countless of time - this time felt different; worse. He stepped back again, before his face dissolved into a light hearted smile.
"I see, well then perhaps have something to drink. The trip may be long at it's better if you don't have your throat dry while we're on our way. Come, let's go inside" He stated, as if he hadn't asked anything before. And with that, he walked past her to hold the door open for her. Yes ... That was more like him. It was right.
