"I'm sure I could suffer through another hour of your company. Just for your benefit though." The small smile on her face betrayed her joke, trailing after her as she made her way out of the theater and into the busy stand area.
"I'll be right back- I just need to use the restroom quickly." Walking off without waiting for Zac's reply, Adriana pushed her way into the girls bathroom- taking a well deserved respite from the after movie crowds.
Leaning into the sink with a sigh, Adriana stared at her own reflection- green meeting green tiredly. No sign of Joel yet- though she really didn't know why she'd hoped to hear from him at all. He was probably shut inside his house again, doing...whatever Joel did on a nightly basis. Nudging the tap onto cold, Adriana splashed some water against her face- rubbing to try and bring some vigor back into her expression.
"Oh my god- did you see him out there?"
"You mean that one over there? With the dark hair?" Adriana looked up from the mirror curiously- catching two blondes from the corner of her eye.
"You don't know who he is!? He's a dragon rider."
"No way. Wait- you aren't joking?" Blue eyes peered towards the door curiously, and Adriana busied herself with the sink, waiting to hear what the girls had to say next. Maybe Joel had decided to come give her her keys back.
"Maybe we should go introduce ourselves." The two girls giggled together, dropping into a whisper that Adriana couldn't hear over the running of the tap in front of her. No biggie, she'd just have to follow the girls. And that was exactly what she did, trailing behind the two blondes unobtrusively as they approached not Joel, like she had assumed, but Zac. Slowing, Adriana ducked off to the side, peering around the corner to see just how he would handle this.
