Elisa knew that the redhead could easily tell that the two of them were not brother and sister, but it amused her nonetheless that she still tried. She was trying so hard, and Victor didn't seem particularly pleased with that. The blonde was taken aback by the bold approach, and though she had felt a pang of something in her chest, she was still pretty much entertained by the situation itself.
The woman's eyes were not forgiving when the laid on her. Instead, they seemed disdainful and somewhat resentful. However, Elisa could simply return her stare with a clear and calm one of her own.
"What would the lady want?" Her voice came out rather high-pitched, and Elisa could interpret that as a poorly way of faking her distaste with the blonde.
"Same as him, though instead of ale, I'd rather have cider, please" She was polite, even when the woman shot her another sort of glare and walked away.
Elisa shot a glance back to where Rebecca and Adam where, though she had to turn her head back almost completely to do so. They seemed to be on their own little world. Most likely, that had been the reason so as to why Victor had led them there. "You sure do know your way with the ladies, don't you Victor Portswell?" She said with a chuckle as she turned her head back to the front.
Upon seeing the sad smile settle on Rebecca's face, Adam's own smile faltered. Again, he was vulnerability and he had to fight the unexpected urge to wrap his arms around her. As if that physical barrier could shield her from whatever was making her unhappy. Instead, he scooted over a bit, in hope it would help.
"Did you remember something sad?" He couldn't stop himself from asking. Most of the times, and though it wasn't exactly good, he tended to be straightforward. It'd have been easier if he had just let it go, but talking about it may help her better than just ignore it. Sometimes, someone willing to listen was good to alleviate the soul.
He looked at her silently for a few seconds, the space between them seemed to get smaller and smaller as time went by. Nevertheless, with her faraway gaze, she felt so very distant at the same time. He carefully took a hold of her hand "I'd gladly listen to you" He knew he had found himself touching her more than he should have, and that he had even been caught by her friend in doing so, but somehow he couldn't help himself. He had to thank Victor for driving Elisa way later, now that he thought about it.
