(Happy New Year! \(^·^)/ )
“And so, I’ll be able to launch my new line in a few days” Tessa exclaimed, a big smile creeping over her lips as her eyes glinted with pride.
“That’s great, mom, you got them to sponsor you?” Elisa asked as she set her cutlery down, finally done with her meal.
“Of course I did, there’s no way anyone could ever say no to me”
“Oh, believe me, if there’s someone who’s completely aware of that fact is me” Morgan declared, to which his wife simply replied with a smile.
“By the way, the event is scheduled for friday, and, if you could, I’d like for you to be there, Eli” Her mother stated before her gaze went from her to the guy by her side “Of course, if you want to come, you’re also invited”
“Well I-“
“Think about it, dear, and tell me later, okay?” Her mom intervened.
“Sure, mom” The redhead smiled, sighing lightly.
It seemed that Victor and her had worried over nothing. Her parents had not made any questions on the matter or whatsoever. Her mom asked Elisa how was her past week, to which the latter had to, obviously, omit the time spent inside the book, before Morgan and Tessa began to talk about their jobs, her mother explaining her business trip in detail. It didn’t mean they wouldn’t ask questions later, though lunch was practically over.
Adam tilted his head to the side, his gaze on Rebecca before it trailed to the door. She seemed … restless, as if she was looking out for some danger that was about to step inside. He too looked closely, wary, but didn’t seem to find anything threatening outside the store. At least, not for him. He was about to ask about it, but his lady spoke first.
“Is that alright with you?”
“Hmm?” The knight turned his head to the side to look back at her before his face broke into a smile. The idea of spending some time alone with his lady proved to be distracting enough for him. "I’m inclined to accept that offer”
Once the clothes had been paid for, and him and Rebecca started to make their way to the exit, the brown haired man decided to make the question he hadn’t posed before.
“Is something the matter? You seemed … worried” He inquired, as he grabbed the shopping bags from her hands.
