Adam opened his mouth to say something. What? He wasn't sure. Just something. But words failed to come to volume. She said she was relieved, but her body proved to him the contrary. She was shaken, and that wasn't really a sign of any comfort. A barely audible sigh slipped past his lips and he raised a hand to his hair to run his fingers through it while he kept the bloody one clenched in a tight fist.
Was it really a good idea to drive in that state? He didn't know. How difficult could that action be? Very? She seemed desperate to get out of there. He couldn't replace her on that task, he didn't know how that machine worked, not at all. Perhaps he could learn ... Try even harder to fit into her world. Would that make her happy? He wanted that, he wanted to see her smile. It was not the first time they were stuck in a kind of similar situation. It was so vexing.
He pulled his hand from his head to place it over hers, to ease the pain. But it was splattered with blood, and it was not his. Slowly, he forced himself to put it down on his leg. It was not the place, maybe not the time. He couldn't turn back time, nor did he want to, so he would apologise to her later on, again, try to make it up for her somehow. As such, it was a really quiet drive that one.
Elisa relished on the tingly sensation his kiss left on her forehead, her eyes closing briefly in the process. It was not only him, both of them were so corny. Heck, the situation itself was the very definition of that word. Did she care? Nope, not one bit. Again, they were alone. She did promise to remind herself to keep it down a little when they had company, though.
"You've said it, you won't be able to go back on your words later, you know?" She commented while prying her eyes open.
She smiled, trailing her hands up his back before her they ended up cupping his cheeks, her index finger capturing one of his curly locks loosely. The young girl stood on her tiptoes to kiss the corner of his mouth, lingering there for a few seconds before pulling back.
